Once you have decided that you would like to have a baby, it’s important to know how you are at your most fertile. These fertile days occur around ovulation when an egg is released from the ovaries.

Our ovulation test enables you to identify these fertile days by detecting the sharp rise, or surge, in the level of luteinising hormone (LH) that occurs 24-48 hours before ovulation.

Luteinising hormone is made in our pituitary gland, located just beneath the brain. It has an important role in the menstrual cycle, triggering the release of an egg from the ovary. This means that levels in your system increase each month, to tell your ovary to release an egg, or ovulate.

Having intercourse in the 48 hour period after the surge has been detected should maximise your chance of becoming pregnant.

Simply order your test kits online, and using the instructions provided within, use the testing sticks to check your urine sample for the luteinising hormone. Each pack contains 5 tests so you can check your hormone levels as needed during the month.

Which test should I choose?

You should choose the test that is right for your needs, symptoms and health concerns. Details of the health biomarkers included in each test can be found on the test pages on our website. If you want an all-round health test, we recommend the Well Woman or Well Man tests which provide the widest range of biomarkers and the best value to check numerous areas of your health.

I’ve just paid, can I change my order?

If you need to make any changes to your order or your booking, please contact us and we will see what we can do to help you. Be aware that if you need to cancel your test, you may be charged a cancellation fee.

Can I order a test for someone else?

Yes – please add their details when making your booking, and then your details at the checkout if you need to. Please be aware that our tests are only for customers aged 18 or over.

How often should I take a test?

We believe it’s most effective to monitor your health regularly over time. So we recommend taking your test every three months. This is the amount of time it typically takes to see the impact of health and lifestyle changes.

What if my kit needs other samples, such as urine?

If your test requires other samples, such as blood and urine or saliva, please follow the instructions within the kit to collect the required samples correctly. If you have any problems, please contact our helpful team.
